Works Excellent!Īnonymous Person from NEW WESTMINISTER, BC Canada Would definitely recommend for moving any kind of trailer very fast and easily without a truck. Norm Fuoss from Chesaning, MI United StatesĮxcellent product. Very well made (In the USA!) and I can tell it will last a lifetime. ![]() So glad I purchased this receiver hitch from Everything Attachments. ![]() GP Lytle from Frametown, WV United States They're free shipping within 1000 miles and we hope you make your purchases at Everything Attachments.Ġ of 0 people found the following review helpful:Įxceptional 3-pt Gooseneck Receiver Hitch! It's the best one on the market for the money. It's a lot stronger assembly, and all of this is braced really good with 45 degree braces in here to make it really rigid. When you hook it to your three point hitch, then it keeps it level, keeps it from being able to rock and rotate. A lot of people put trailer hitch balls in it but there's nothing to keep it straight. Another good feature of a three point hitch receiver hitch is that what everybody used to use in the old days would have been a holy cross bar that goes from one end to the other, had a lot of holes in it. It's a great tool to have around if you've got trailers to move. It took about 15 seconds to hook up to a trailer. Go ahead and take it out just a little bit, Kevin. This sure happens to keep you from having to use the jack and you can move anything around really quick and it will lift a lot, whatever your tractor is capable of doing safely. If we had a big load on the trailer, we especially would. The only thing we might should do is hook our safety chains here. If you have trailers to move around on your place and you have goosenecks and regular ball hitches, because this LT2 hitch will do both, this is the hitch you want.Īll right. So we've put our scotches back under the trailer. If you've got to go a long way or haul something up the road, you would want to take your jacks up but if you're just going to move it around on the yard, you can leave them where they're set.Īll right. He can lift it up a little higher, that way you're not having to mess with the jacks. When you've got this style hitch, you've got a positive hook up and you know it's not going to go anywhere. It's kind of dangerous to use a chain hooked to the front loader bucket because it swings. There's not many good ways to move a gooseneck trailer. Just make sure you put your latch on before you try to move it. You can go up under it, pick your weight and everything up. ![]() You can go underneath it, get to where your pocket is for your hitch and pick your trailer up, then just clip your hitch and you're through. The good thing about this style hitch is, if you're moving a lot of boat trailers, or whatever, around that have a heavy tongue, you're not having to jack all day. ![]() To move a regular trailer, you're just going to install your hitch like you would on your pickup truck. It comes with the receiver style like goes on a truck, or car, or whatever, that takes a regular receiver, like this or it has the two and five-sixteenths ball mounted on the top where you can move a gooseneck trailer. Hi, I'm Ted from Everything Attachments and we're here today to show you the receiver hitch style, three point hitch attachments you can get to move your trailers around on your yard.
![]() We felt that 24 miles with a great deal of climbing and wind was going to be push the battery to the limit. Clearly, if you want to complete an extensive ride on most e-bikes, you better plan on doing much of the work. It is unlikely that the Dash would have climbed any of the grades on E-power alone, and testing that theory would have swilled battery charge like a wino at an open bar. The area has plenty of moderate grades, but our loop flirts heavily with the surrounding mountains, so there is a lot of climbing. We’re always up for fun, so our first ride was on a favorite 24-mile road loop best suited for lightweight drop-bar bikes and fit riders. The wheels roll well, and if they drag too much for you, engage the assist. Ditto for the CST 700 x 45c tires, since they are vitally supple over rough pavement compared to full road tires and wheels. The SR Suntour NCX fork has fender lugs, and whether we were sport riding for pure fun or pounding around town shopping and running errands, we appreciated the break the fork gives the wrists. With the obvious and even welds, there is no confusing the frame with carbon fiber. Until we rode some converted production bicycles, we didn’t realize how impressive the solid-feeling Izip aluminum frame is. ![]() The QR is vital for easy roadside flat repairs. Most brands rely on solid thru-axles to secure things. One item that is rare in the industry is a QR (quick-release) rear axle for the weighty hub motor. BIKE STUFFĬurrie designs its own frames, and you see that with the Curry emblem machined into the heavy aluminum dropouts built to handle the weight and strain of the rear-drive hub motor. A switch next to the left grip is easy to use on the fly if you want to switch modes. The control panel screen is easy to see in bright sun, and it gives all the vital information. Our Dash was preproduction 2014, so everything read in kilometers, but production models will display miles. The normal display is for speed, push for odometer, once more for the trip meter for the current ride and once again for the range remaining. One push jumps one mode, so if you want to go from 1 back to throttle mode, you cycle through modes 2 and 3 to get back to T. The assist modes are T-twist throttle with no pedal assist-and three levels of assist modes cleverly labeled 1, 2 and 3. The remote switch has a power button for the cycle computer, a mode switch that cycles through the assist modes, a switch to use the bike battery to power lights (not included), an info button, and a cruise-control button. A small computer and a remote switch mount to the handlebar.Ī one-touch soft button on the battery case powers up the system, and you hold the same one to power down. The battery has a battery mount attached to lugs in the aluminum frame, and a key-latching system locks it in or, conversely, allows it to be removed for security, or to carry it inside for off-bike charging (there is a port for on-bike charging). As far as the “E” part of the bike goes, the size of the rear hub and the lithium-ion 48-volt battery case are the main visual clues. We love quiet, and most riders feel the power is all the more impressive when the drive is silent. A quality geared hub motor may only have a tiny gear whine, but it will be audible. The alloy case may look the same externally, but inside the case is a smaller motor that drives planetary gears to multiply the torque of the motor.Ī direct-drive hub is simple with less parts to wear out, usually virtually silent and is generally cheaper to make. The entire hub is the motor, and one revolution of the motor equals one rotation of the wheel. The key mechanical difference between the two is the hub motor. Currie builds bikes with what it calls “torque” or “speed” settings. THE MOTORĬurrie Technologies has a great deal of experience designing e-bikes and programming controllers, and it truly shows on the Dash. What is this bike really for? How does it work? Why did they call it a Dash? Those are good questions, and the same ones we asked. We suspect that you have questions as well. That led to inevitable questions about the Dash. Upon exiting a building after a taco run, a fellow budget Mexican food aficionado wanted to know if the contraption on the downtube was a toolbox. ![]() Luckily, for anyone in the market for an e-bike today, a new trend has swept through the industry-e‑bikes that look like, well, a bicycle. Admittedly, I haven’t been clubbing since before the pandemic, but honestly, this bag makes me want to reprise those youthful days. ![]() My mind flashed back to the days of Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton stumbling out of LA’s hottest clubs with Dior bags from the early aughts tucked under their arms. Next posting – launching FTM for Mac and importing a GEDCOM. As I try to transition my 2000+ person family tree from Reunion to FTM for Mac, I’ll be posting my impressions on this blog. So FTM now has a Mac version – how does it stack up against Reunion? Some people reading this are saying to themselves that there was a Mac version of FTM in the past, but that was so many versions and owners ago, I don’t really consider that to be anywhere near the same product. I was happy to hear they finally came out with a Mac version of their product, even if it based on a year-out-of-date version of the product (FTM for Mac is based on FTM 2010 for Windows, not the current FTM 2011 for Windows). One of the most popular genealogy programs on Windows is Family Tree Maker (FTM), which while it has gone through a number of owners over the years, is now part of. It’s always bothered me a bit that none of the ‘big’ genealogy programs out there had versions for the Mac. ![]() One day when I have more time to spend on it, I will probably look more closely at it, although for the time being I like my genealogy program to be easy to use and quick when entering data, and I don’t want to think about scripting languages. One program which has always intrigued my inner-nerd is GEDitCOM II, which is more of a genealogy development system, allowing you to create your own user interfaces and features, using AppleScript, Python or Ruby as scripting languages. ![]() Over the years I’ve tried just about every Mac genealogy program out there, and while some are very powerful, and some have great user interfaces, none have worked the way I wanted them to, and in the end I’ve always ended up back with Reunion. Now, this would be so bad if they shipped new versions every year, but when your upgrade cycle is over four years, people begin to wonder if the product is actually going to be upgraded, or if they should start looking elsewhere… Leister, the company that makes Reunion, also does something else a bit maddening, which is that they absolutely refuse to mention anything about future versions until they are already shipping. There are plenty of people that defend this upgrade policy, and say they don’t want to upgrade every year since it costs so much, but that’s a silly argument since I’d rather upgrade for $20 a year then pay $80 every four years. For Mac Name Price Ancestral Quest < > GEDitCOM II < > Family Tree Maker for Mac < > free. There’s no excuse for upgrades that take four years. It’s true that there are lots of little updates and bug-fixes in-between upgrades, but this is not the same thing. Before that it was about four and half years between upgrades. It’s been about three and a half years since the last major update. One thing I’ve always disliked about Reunion is the fact that it’s upgraded so infrequently. Being more modern isn’t always better if the paradigm doesn’t work for you. For the most part I like the way it works, and even if the user interface is hopelessly out-of-date, I still like the user interface compared to many other genealogy programs on the Mac. So I’ve been using Reunion on my Mac for a long time. |
